Our Story & Core Mission

An Independent Practice Built Around Client Advocacy

When Murray Sawyer founded Westover Capital Advisors in 1999, he brought more than three decades of legal expertise in estate planning, trusts, and fiduciary law.

Having observed how traditional brokerages and commission-driven financial institutions created inherent conflicts of interest, Westover was established with a singular, unbending premise: to serve as a pure personal advocate in all wealth matters.

Over the past quarter-century, we have maintained that independence. We accept no commissions, sales loads, or third-party advisor platform kickbacks. We coordinate seamlessly with your outside legal counsel, family trustees, and banking institutions to deliver an all-inclusive wealth strategy.

"Treating and serving client families with the exact same care, diligence, and dedication as our own families."
